Infineon's TwinPass-VE is a highly integrated VoIP processor SoC for
wired and wireless VoIP router applications. TwinPass employs two powerful 333
MHz MIPS 24KEc CPUs. One CPU is used for network processing while
the other is directly connected to the analogue line module for high quality
voice processing. The DDR memory controller can reach 167 MHz which supports a
16bit DDR-333 memory module.
Building on Infineon's advanced VoIP technology, the VINETIC codec, DSP and
SLIC chipset, TwinPass-VE enables the most effective and scaleable realization
of VoIP CPE applications. This advanced functionality is now combined with
Infineon's powerful network processor technology for a complete VoIP SoC
solution. The TwinPass-VE's optimised design allows it to be combined with a
number of Infineon's other products to add functionality to VoIP and VDSL2
amoung other technologies. Infineon's software support enables quick
implementation and customization of additional functions while significantly
reducing design cycles and slashing time to market.
