OpenRG offers real plug-and-play home networking that enables users to connect multiple devices to the home network without needing to configure the gateway or the home PC.

OpenRG provides advanced network services to enable seamless communication between computers. These services include DHCP server and client, which allow the gateway to automatically receive and allocate IP addresses, and auto-learning DNS, which learns the host names of computers connected to the network.

NAT supports Internet sharing by multiple computers in the home network using a single broadband connection and a single IP address. Reverse-NAT enables the creation of local servers in the home network, thus allowing access to services such as a family website, without jeopardizing the network's security.
