USB Host Testing: USBHost Tester Mobile
An innovative solution allowing you to test your MOBILE USB host
against thousands of different USB devices!
Mobile Testing Overview
The versatile design of the USBHost Tester platform renders it an ideal
and reliable testing solution for the mobile industry. Intended for automated
testing of embedded USB host stacks, USBHost Tester provides you with the
certainty that your mobile embedded USB host performs as it was designed.
Enhanced Product Quality
If your organization is in the process of incorporating a USB host or
USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality in your mobile phone products or already
done so, USBHost Tester guarantees consumer satisfaction, reduce
product recalls and field support costs. Improve your test cases coverage
and overall quality by adding USBHost Tester to your arsenal of testing tools.
How it Works
USBHost Tester functions by enabling a single machine to simulate thousands
of real world USB devices, across several different USB classes. USBHost
Tester connects to the target USB host, and simulates each of the devices
in its database. The database is constantly evolving and updated by Jungo
on a regular basis.
The USBHost Tester provides a software add-on that runs on top of the USB
host architecture, and enables exercising comprehensive test suites
including complicated scenarios like connect/disconnect, power management
and others. Once all tests are completed, a comprehensive reporting
mechanism generates detailed logs which can be presented in various formats.
Architecture
The USBHost Tester is built upon an extremely proficient architecture.
Able to connect via the Host Plug-In, the USBHost Tester enables testers
to conduct various testing scenarios based on their specific needs.
Below is a diagram of the USBHost Tester architecture model.
Test Results
Below you can see a sample test results report, while running the USBHost
Tester. Every device includes a basic pass/no-pass indicator, as well as
a detailed test log. These logs can be exported into various formats
such as XML, HTML or CSV.
